I stayed at Freedom Hotel for three nights, and it was generally a pleasant experience. The rooms were spacious and clean, although the bathroom had some quirks. The location is a bit outside the main area of Siem Reap, making transportation necessary. yet it was close to Angkor, which was a plus.

Rooms
6.0
My room was large, clean, and comfortable with firm bedding. However, the bathroom was a bit awkward to use due to the low shower nozzle and spa bath arrangement.
Service
7.0
The staff were friendly and helpful, speaking reasonable English, but at times I felt my requests weren't fully understood.
Location
6.0
Though the hotel is about 3-4 km from the center, tuk tuk rides to town were affordable at $3 each way. This distance offered a different perspective of the area.
Dining
6.0
Breakfast options were good with a mix of Asian and Western dishes. I particularly enjoyed the pancakes, though dinner at the hotel restaurant lacked variety.
Facilities
5.0
The hotel has a nice pool, but I noticed the Wi-Fi connection dropped frequently, which was quite annoying.

My stay at Freedom Hotel had its ups and downs. On the positive side, the large rooms were spacious and the swimming pool was a fantastic retreat after a long day of sightseeing. However, the hotel seemed to be in need of some serious maintenance, with various issues in the room that detracted from my experience.

Rooms
5.0
The room I stayed in was large and clean, but it lacked essential features like a safe and had weak water pressure in the shower. I suggest checking the specific room type to ensure you're not assigned one of the older, smaller rooms near the main road.
Service
7.0
The staff were friendly and helpful, assisting with airport pickup and offering convenient services like laundry. They definitely added a positive touch to the experience.
Location
5.0
While the hotel is conveniently located for accessing Angkor Wat, it was quite far from town. about 6 km from the center, so I had to take a tuk tuk to get to the bustling areas, which added extra cost and time.
Dining
6.0
Breakfast options were acceptable but basic, with plates served rather than a buffet. Some items, like the noodles, were a bit bland, though I appreciated the variety of options offered.
Facilities
6.0
The saltwater swimming pool was definitely a highlight and made it a nice spot to relax. though the overall facilities felt a bit dated and in need of upgrades.

I had a mixed experience at Freedom Hotel during my stay. While the pool area was nice and the staff were friendly, the state of the rooms left much to be desired. Cleanliness was a big issue, and the bathroom setup was quite inconvenient.

Rooms
5.0
The room was basic and spacious, but not very clean. I found a squashed centipede on the mat and dirty towels. The shower setup was awkward, and I struggled with the bath tub design.
Service
6.0
The staff were very friendly and went above and beyond when I made requests. However, the service in the restaurant was lacking at times, with staff distracted by their phones.
Location
5.0
The hotel is situated on the main road, slightly away from the hustle and bustle of Siem Reap. While it required a TukTuk to get to the town and restaurants, this distance provided some peace and quiet.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast was included but very limited in choice, which was disappointing. The food quality was not great, and I found the set menu approach constricting.
Facilities
5.0
The pool area was a nice addition but was closed for maintenance on my first day. The overall facilities felt outdated, and the TV channel selection was quite poor.

5.2/10

I enjoyed my stay at Freedom Hotel in Siem Reap, as it offered good value for a mid-range hotel. The facilities, like the saltwater pool and gym, were well maintained and refreshing after long days of exploring. However, the rooms were a bit tired, with firm beds and some quirks like the low shower head. Despite a few minor issues, I found the hotel to be a pleasant base for my travels.

Rooms
6.0
My room was large, cleaned daily, and had basic amenities like a fridge and TV, but the bed was quite firm. The shower setup was a bit odd, requiring one to sit down, and there was no safe in the room, making me slightly uneasy about my valuables.
Service
7.0
The staff was always friendly and helpful, and I appreciated the laundry service, which was super cheap. They were attentive, although the response time for organizing our massage was a bit slow.
Location
6.0
The hotel is located about 2 km from the city center, which I didn't mind since tuk tuks were affordable and readily available. It offered a quieter atmosphere, away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Siem Reap, but I could see how the distance might be inconvenient for some.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast had a variety of options, including fruit, coffee, and both Western and Asian favorites. However, it was a bit dull and suffered from flies lingering around the food, which was a bit off-putting.
Facilities
8.0
The facilities were decent, with a well-maintained pool and a gym. The saltwater pool was particularly refreshing after a long day, and I appreciated that towels were readily available.

My stay at Freedom Hotel was quite mixed. While the polite staff were a nice touch, the overall condition of the hotel left much to be desired. The outdated rooms felt worn, and I struggled with a hard bed and inconsistent air conditioning. Breakfast had decent options, but cleanliness was an issue.

Rooms
5.0
The room was outdated with hard beds and unreliable air conditioning. The cleanliness was questionable, and my room's door was in poor condition.
Service
7.0
Staff were always polite and willing to help. They addressed problems as best as they could, which was appreciated.
Location
6.0
The hotel is a short tuk tuk ride from the center. This allowed me to see a different side of Siem Reap.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast was varied with options for everyone. However, cleanliness was lacking as there were flies around the food.
Facilities
5.0
The pool was a good size, but I felt uncomfortable due to noise from families. Wi-Fi was nearly non-existent, which was frustrating.
